"ADAPTATION" definition: Adaptation is the structural, physiological, behavioural and reproductive characteristics which enables organisms to be able to live, obtain their survival requirements and reproduce in a given set of habitats. Adaptation is the process in which an organism or species becomes better suited to live in a particular habitat or habitats.
BENEFITS OF ADAPTATIONS: -Maximizes the chance of survival -Help an organism to fit into its place. and thus improves the survival of the individuals within that environment. -As the environment changes, animals that cannot adapt die out, and only the adapted ones survive to produce babies.
